A Week In The Hospital And Holly's Wedding!

Here is what we have been up to in the hospital, first I want to tell you that everything is looking good with  the baby he has a good heart beat and he is growing.  The doctors look real positive that we will make it to the full 9 weeks before this little guy will come.

One of Lulu's favorite things to do in my room, playing in the curtains!  She has ran into the wall a couple of times and has gotten hurt you think she wouldn't do it any more but she still loves to play in them. 

Lulu sleeping with us at the hospital, so sweet!  Lulu has spent three nights with us and the first night it took her about a half hour to fall asleep she was just playing in her crib and kept saying fun, funny.  She was being pretty silly.  The third night she slept here it took just over an hour to fall asleep once again she was having to much fun, she kept playing peek a boo with us.  But every time once she has fallen asleep she has been out until morning.

Lulu's first time painting and she loved it and did such a good job.  She held the brush so well, she looks so grown up. 

She would only paint with one color for a second before she would switch to a new color. 

My friends came to visit us in the hospital and they brought a goody basket and one thing they had in the basket was a coloring crayons and coloring book for Lulu.  Lulu loves to color and we do it every time she comes to visit she is getting really good at it.

My friends Jennie and Patrick came into town for the same wedding I came for so they stopped by to say hi and visit!

My friends Stephanie, Sarina, and Sarah came to visit us in the hospital and brought some yummy food!

All four of us are pregnant and Sarina is having her baby on Monday, Sarah is due in September, I'm due in October, and Stephanie is due in February. 

Stephanie and Dan came to visit on Sunday with their daughter Ginny, Lulu and Ginny are just two months apart.

On Saturday night my friend Holly got married and Lulu was a flower girl in the wedding. I was sad that I couldn't be there to watch her in action but I'm glad to hear did a great job.   Cody was there with my parents to watch and help Lulu.  

Cody was a champ taking Lulu to my friends wedding with me not there and being a great dad in getting her dressed in her dress and taking pictures and making sure she was were she needed to be.  Thanks Cody for being a great dad and husband.

Another week older, I can't believe that she will be two in just three weeks.  It's funny before I came to Oregon I had been trying to decided on where and what to do for Lulu's birthday but now that I'm in the hospital that question is answered this girl gets to have the best birthday party ever in a hospital room I know you guys are all jealous and I know it will be Lulu's best birthday party ever but now I don't have to decide it is decided for me.  I'm sorry Lulu for your birthday not being what I wanted it to be but I will make it up to you next year I promise.

A Trip To Oregon

Before Lulu and I left to head to Oregon for my friends wedding we hung out at Cody's parents house and Lulu got her feet washed by Gammie with Sam she loved every minute of it.  

On Thursday I was 26 weeks pregnant and thought I would take a picture of me to see how big I'm getting. 

On Thursday we went to Oregon and Lulu has been having lots of fun playing with all the toys at Ma2's and Popops house.

 On Friday we went and picked raspberries with my mom Lulu did a great job at picking them  I was surprise she didn't eat any she waited until we were all done.  She would pick one and put it in her bucket and say Ta  Da.  It was super cute.

My sister Serena gave Lulu a big teddy bear for her birthday and she loves it.  She likes to sit on him like a little chair to watch TV.  I love that she is wearing the sunglasses.   So Cool!

Lulu Turned another week Older!

Two nights into our stay in Oregon I woke and found out my water broke.  I got up and we went into the hospital and sure enough my water broke I was hoping I had just peed my pants even though that would be embarrassing . I rather that be the case then my water breaking at 26 weeks pregnant.  So now I'm on bed rest in the hospital hopefully for 9 weeks the longer the better so that this little boy can grow to be a healthy and strong little guy.  Cody was in Vegas attending a dear friends funeral when I called him to tell him the news.  Once we heard from the doctor saying that she didn't think the baby was going to be coming that day Cody jumped in the car and started his long journey here.  He drove 6 hours from Vegas to stopped at our house to pick up a few things for the next 3 months and then him and his dad started the long 12 hour drive here.  They made it to the hospital Sunday morning at 6:30. The baby is doing well he has a good heart beat, I'm doing well to no contractions.  The doctors are just watching for any infections because since my water has broke there is a chance I can get an infection and if that happens they will have to take the baby right away.  So far we are doing good and I just hope it stays this way for 9 more weeks.

 Lulu has been a good sport about all of this I think it is harder on me then it is on her.  She has been staying the nights with my parents and doing very well.  They come in the morning once she wakes up and they hang until she gets tired then they head home to take a nap and then when she wakes up from her nap they come back and hang out until she gets tired then they head home to go to bed.  She has been doing very well for my parents and goes right to sleep for them and has been very happy.  It has been hard on me saying good bye to her and not being able to go with her.  I feel bad that I'm not with everyday all day being the mom  I should be I feel like I'm missing out on so much.  I have never been away from Lulu for a night and now I have to be but I'm thankful for my parents and everything that they are doing for us.  I hope to stay in here for 9 weeks but I hope they fly by so I can be home with my little Lulu.

And thank you to all of you for all of your thoughts and prayers they mean a lot to us.  

Boating, Friends, Family, and the Fourth of July!

On Monday we went out boating with Cody's family, Lulu loves being on the boat but she didn't love the life jacket as much.  I don't blame her, but after awhile she got used to the idea of having to wear it and was a happy camper.  It was a hot day, so it felt nice to be on the boat and in the water.

Lulu even got to go on a ride on the tube at first she didn't like it but then she did after a minute of being on it.  

I even got to go for a ride with these crazy tricksters, I wasn't as brave as the others. 

It was a hot day so it was perfect for a boat ride we had lots of fun and I loved how big the tube was so a lot of us were able to go for a ride. 

 On Tuesday we got together with some friends to do tin foil dinners, we were suppose to go up the canyon to do it but a fire started in Alpine and they didn't allow fires in the canyons so we went to a friends house and did them on the BBQ and they turned out just as yummy.  While we were waiting for the tin foil dinners to cook the kids played on this bounce house that Lulu's friend Liam got for his birthday.  The kids loved it and played on it forever.

Happy Fourth Of July!

I had to wake Lulu up in the morning she has been sleeping in until 10:00 to 10:45 these last couple of weeks.  But we started our day off at the Provo Parade and so we had to get there early so she looks a little sleepy in these pictures.

We had a fantastic 4 of July with a parade, BBQ, and fireworks.  Oh and swimming!  

On Friday night we got together with some friends from when Cody got his MBA.  We had a BBQ, the kids went swimming and us adults talked.  It was lots of fun to see friends we haven't seen in a year.

Another week older, she does such a good job at taking pictures for me.  I love the one on the right she is so cute.  

Some of the things she likes to do these days, she loves to dance, she loves to sing last night after we put her in bed we could here her singing to herself for a while before she fell to sleep it was so sweet.  She loves to color and draw she looks so grown up when she is doing it. She likes to watch Elmo.  She likes to point to my tummy and say baby.  She likes to say fun.  She likes to hide her eyes when I get her out of her car seat and scare me when I open the door.  She loves to go swimming.  She loves to do somersaults, and she is really good at them.  She loves to hang and swing on anything that she can.  She makes us laugh and smile all day every day she is growing up so fast to fast.
